2026 Fanwork competition – terms and conditions

Effective Starting: 10 April 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the 2025 Discord contest hosted by PikPok. By entering this competition, you agree to be bound by these rules. If you do not consent to these terms, you are not eligible to participate. PikPok maintains the authority to update these rules, pause, cancel, or modify the giveaway at any time without prior notice or liability.

1. Competition Host

This event is managed by Prodigy Design Limited, trading as PikPok.

2. Entry Costs

Entry is completely free. You do not need to buy any products or own any PikPok titles to participate.

3. Timeline

  • Opening: 10 April 2026 at 4:00 PM NZT

  • Closing: Submissions: 1 May 2026 at 12pm NZT. Public voting: 8 May 2026 at 12pm NZT

4. Participation Requirements & Restrictions

  • Age & Capacity: Entrants must be at least 13 years old. By entering, you confirm you are legally able to agree to these T&Cs.

  • Limit: One entry per person.

  • Exclusions: Employees and directors of PikPok, as well as moderators of the Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days Discord server, are ineligible.

  • Global Eligibility: Participation is open worldwide, provided it does not conflict with your local laws. This contest is void where prohibited by law or where local regulations require specific registration or licensing. PikPok is not responsible for any legal issues arising from local restrictions.

  • Content Standards: Submissions must be your own original work. Submissions using the work of others (paid or unpaid) will be disqualified. Exemptions are reworks of official game art/assets/property if PikPok deems them creatively individual enough. Content must be appropriate for ages 13+. Submissions must be in English.

  • Integrity: The use of AI tools is strictly forbidden. PikPok reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of violating these rules.

5. How to Enter

To participate, post your fanwork or a link to your work in the #fanwork-competition channel within the official Discord server. All entries must adhere to specific channel guidelines and Discord’s community standards.

6. Prizes

There are two (2) prize bundles available.

  • Community vote: An Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days t-shirt and Dianne popsocket.

  • Developer’s choice: An Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days t-shirt and Kayla magnet.

Conditions:

  • Prizes are “as-is” and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

  • PikPok may substitute a prize with one of equivalent or higher value if necessary.

  • Prizes are non-transferable.

  • While PikPok covers shipping costs, the winner is responsible for any local taxes, duties, or customs fees.

  • PikPok reserves the right to decline shipping to certain regions at its discretion.

7. Selecting Winners

The community vote will be chosen by members of the Discord channel reacting via selected emoji to cast their vote. The developer’s choice will be decided by the development team members. Winners will receive a Discord DM within three weeks of the closing date. If a winner does not respond, PikPok will reach out to runners-up. All judging decisions are final and at the sole discretion of PikPok.

8. Intellectual Property

By entering, you guarantee that your submission is your own work and does not infringe on any third-party rights. You agree to protect PikPok against any legal claims regarding copyright or IP.

Furthermore, you grant PikPok a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free, and sublicensable license to use, edit, and share your entry for promotional and marketing purposes across all platforms (including social media) without further payment or permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

PikPok is not liable for lost, late, or misdirected entries. We are not responsible for prizes that are damaged, delayed, or lost during transit. To the fullest extent allowed by law, PikPok will not be held liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from this contest. Our total liability is limited to the cost of shipping the prize to the winner.

10. Data Privacy

Personal information collected during this contest will be managed according to PikPok’s privacy policy. By participating, you consent to the processing of your data for the purposes of managing this giveaway.

11. Legal Jurisdiction

This competition and its rules are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be handled within that jurisdiction.
