The latest update for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is now live, bringing new Relationships and Morale systems.

The apocalypse just got a lot more interesting, as from today, relationships will now begin to form between survivors in players’ shelters.

When survivors make certain decisions while out scavenging, complete certain tasks within the shelter, or spend time together in the communal area, this can now change how they feel about one another. Some characters might even feel the sparks of romance fly. Players have agency over these bonds forming by using romance-specific items that can now be found in Walton City.

Morale has also been reworked, and now instead of a bar that is drained over time, a survivor’s Morale will now be based on all the positive and negative influences that are affecting them at the time. High and low morale come with their own consquences…

There’s other exciting new content too, including shelter events that now force a morale choice, and the inclusion of critical kills, plus a huge range of improvements and fixes.

With a 20% sale happening now on Steam, there’s no better time to check out Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days.
